Thanks to the collaborative efforts of Messe Zürich and the Hallenstadion Zürich to create Arena Convention Expo Zurich, the possibilities for corporate events, trade fairs, sports events and international conventions in Oerlikon are practically endless.
The Partners
Die Messe Zürich offers around 30,000 m2 of space, spread across seven exhibition halls. These halls can be combined as required, making this an ideal venue for trade fairs, exhibitions, conventions and shareholder meetings.
With an area of 14,000 m2 and capacity for up to 15,000 guests, the Hallenstadion Zürich is one of the biggest multi-purpose halls in Europe. It is also considered the country’s top venue for large-scale events in the music, sports and business sectors.

Sustainability
Zurich has the perfect conditions for eco-conscious organizers: it is one of the most sustainable conference cities in the world. So it’s hardly surprising that it attained the third highest score in the Global Destination Sustainability Index (GDS) in 2019.
But the Arena Convention Expo Zurich itself is also committed to protecting the environment and communities. For example, 100% of the electricity used by Messe Zürich is generated from renewable energy. To achieve this, a photovoltaic system was installed on the building’s roof, with 1,200 m2 of panels and an output of 150,000 kWh per year. The Hallenstadion Zürich has also made a commitment to sustainability, forging partnerships with labels such as “fairpflichtet” and “myClimate.” Both organizations also favor caterers that use high-quality, seasonal produce from Swiss suppliers. Avoiding food waste is a top priority and any new developments are incorporated into the planning at an early stage so that legal requirements can be implemented quickly.
